IPG Mediabrands will concentrate on the expansion of its operations in Western Australia in 2015 and beyond with the hire of high-profile executive Clive Bingwa as managing director of IPG Mediabrands Perth.
Bingwa is formerly a partner and national media director of 303Lowe, where he has worked for almost 16 years.
“We recognise the opportunities for WA-based marketers to broaden both the geographic reach of their communications and also the combination of media channels they are using,” said Henry Tajer, executive chairman of IPG Mediabrands Australia.
“Clive is a very talented channel and brand communications strategist who is highly experienced in the capabilities and effectiveness of the many channels available to brands. We have ensured that he is fully immersed in our Group’s skill sets and how to apply them to the Perth market,” said Tajer.
IPG Mediabrands in Perth already has two of its businesses fully operational. They are media planning and buying agency Initiative – led by managing director Chris O’Keefe, which was awarded Western Australia Media Agency of the Year in 2014, and search specialist agency Reprise.
Other specialisations within the IPG Mediabrands Australia group include mobile solutions, social media, programmatic buying and analytics.
“The Perth market is in transition and clients have been demanding single point access to specialist services,” said Bingwa. “IPG Mediabrands has the full complement of media channel capabilities and I have been extremely impressed with their track record in effectiveness for their clients.”
“I am excited about the new portfolio I have in 2015 and the opportunities the IPG Mediabrands business units can offer WA-based clients,” said Bingwa.
His new role with IPG Mediabrands is effective immediately.
