Australian comedian Celeste Barber has been announced as the new 2021 ambassador for luxe-for-less beauty brand MCoBeauty.
“Honestly, I’m the last person who should be giving people beauty advice, so I won’t. All I’ll say is that I’m absolutely obsessed with MCoBeauty’s products. Their XtendLash tubular mascara is the best mascara I’ve ever tried! I love that they’re cruelty-free, vegan and they dupe all the expensive brands, from foundation to brows, lashes, lips and the ultimate range of accessory tools. And they’re bloody cheap and I can buy them from the supermarket!” said Barber.
ModelCo and MCoBeauty founder & CEO Shelley Sullivan said she is “beyond thrilled” to have Celeste join our family of ambassadors.
“Celeste is the perfect embodiment of #BSFreeBeauty and we are beyond thrilled to have her on board,” said Sullivan.
The signing of Celeste tops off a phenomenal period of growth for MCoBeauty, which is officially Australia’s fastest-growing beauty brand and now the #1 selling beauty brand in Woolworths supermarkets, outselling global competitors like Maybelline and Rimmel.
“MCoBeauty has been a surprise pandemic success story for us,” said Sullivan.
“We’ve seen huge sales growth as women tighten their budgets, ditch expensive luxury brands and look for affordable products that perform even better than what the high-end companies are producing.
“Thanks to more women making the switch, MCoBeauty is currently growing Woolworths’ beauty category by more than 75 per cent, while the rest of the category’s growth is declining at a rate of -2 per cent.”
