Apple has unveiled a fresh new campaign that highlights the phone’s camera features, with the latest ‘Shot on iPhone’ campaign focusing on a ‘dusk to dawn’ collection, also known as ‘One Night On iPhone 7’.
This year, Apple selected photographers renowned for taking beautiful shots of their surroundings at night using the low light camera on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus.
As of January 30 (US time), the campaign will be launched in 25 countries, on billboards and in other advertising mediums.
Some of the campaign’s photographers included Elsa Bleda, who captured artists in and around Johannesburg, South Africa; Jennifer Bin, who found beauty in her hometown of Shanghai; and Chicago-based photographer Reuben Wu, who travelled all the way to Java, Indonesia to photograph the 130 active volcanoes using an iPhone 7 attached to a drone.
Per TIME Magazine, Jennifer Bin said, “The whole concept behind this campaign is that the photographer is shooting from dusk to dawn, so almost all the shooting is done at night.
“I’m very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the photos that I shot and how some of the photos really blur the line between what people perceive to be iPhone photography vs camera photography.”
