Sportswear giant Adidas is using its sponsorship of London EPL team Arsenal to tackle the very serious problem of knife crime among the city’s youth.
A new campaign fronted by Arsenal legend Ian Wright and actor Idris Elba and attempts to bring attention to the problem that’s reportedly seen 150 people die from knife wounds in the past 12 months alone!
Called “No more red”, the spot’s the work of creative agency Iris and is a play on Arsenal’s famed red playing shirt.
To bring further attention to the horrific problem, last weekend Arsenal ditched its red kit in favour of an all-white shirt (including the shirts’ sponsorship logos and players’ names) in its game against Nottingham Forest (Nottingham winning 1-0).
