Following the departure of its founder, Craig Galvin, to News Limited earlier this month, The White Agency has bolstered its ranks with a new head of marketing and a new general manager.
Brendan Fearn joins the STW-owned agency from Play Communication in the newly created role of head of marketing, charged with helping build the profile of the agency and fostering relationships with potential new clients across Sydney and Melbourne.
During his time at Play he delivered a string of new business wins including Beiersdorf, Coca-Cola and Kimberly-Clark.
Andrew Davenport takes up the post of GM after two years as White’s client service director. Previously managing director of UK agency Code Computerlove, the promotion sees Davenport step up his involvement in the operational side of the agency while maintaining a client focus.
Both Davenport and Fearn will report to White’s MD, Sandy Park.
Park told B&T: “White has experienced solid growth over each of the past few years… but it’s time to take the agency to a new level now. The roles that both Brendan and Andrew have stepped into are fundamental to these plans.”
In the last 12 months White has won several new clients including Lion, Panasonic and Bluescope Steel. Its portfolio also includes CBA, Lexus, Disney, Smiggle, Sussan and Toyota Financial Services.
B&T broke the news earlier this month that White Agency founder Craig Galvin had been poached by News Limited as the media network looks “to bolster the creative and innovative expertise within the team”.
According to News group director of sales, Fiorella Di Santo, Galvin’s new role will be to ensure the company’s digital advertising strategy is integrated into creative and advertising strategies.
The White Agency was founded in 2003 and STW bought a 49% stake in the business in 2007.
