Your next meal with mates could matter as social planning tool TheBestDay teams up with charity OzHarvest.

For every dinner planned on www.dinnergiver.com TheBestDay will donate a dinner to someone in need.

Ronni Kahn, OzHarvest Founder, said: “We waste close to a staggering eight billion dollars of food each year in Australia.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with TheBestDay to give people a fun, easy way to help us on our mission to reduce food waste and provide more meals to vulnerable Australians.”

TheBestDay allows users to set options for date, time and venue, and invite friends to vote – with the aim of cutting down the back-and-forth of organising a get together.

The startup is aiming to give away 10,000 dinners.
