Public relations agencies with a global reach have been asked to put forward their credentials for a chance to work on the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
The request for expressions of interest (EOI) from PR companies comes after the Local Organising Committee (LOC) started the search for a media and creative partner in November, as revealed by B&T.
The LOC of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Cricket World Cup has asked for applications to be put forward only by agencies who are capable of operating globally.
The successful PR firm will need to work with the media and creative partners to roll out the campaign, not only in Australia and New Zealand, but also in South Africa, India, America and the UK.
Market segmentation, the application of bespoke research and the “latest Public Relations techniques including the integration of digital elements into campaigns” will be critical to success, the LOC said.
The deadline to reply to the EOI is January 31. For more information and to apply click here.
The LOC will then select respondents to take part in a tender with the successful company required to work closely with the ICC and LOC, which have offices in Melbourne, Australia and Wellington.
The Cricket World Cup will be played across Australia and New Zealand in February and March 2015.
