ClubsNSW has announced they’re giving out 35,000+ free beers today in what they’re calling Your Local Club Freedom Day.

The free limited edition beer on offer, aptly named Together Ale, has been crafted especially for Your Local Club Freedom Day by Lion’s Malt Shovel Brewers and Batch Brewing Co.

The idea was thought of by ClubsNSW CEO Josh Landis and Batch Brewing Co. co-founder Andrew Fineran over virtual catch-up drinks in June.

At the time Landis was calling on the government to provide a road-map out of lockdown and pledged a free beer for fully vaccinated club patrons to boost vax rates.

“We wanted to make sure that we never have to endure another COVID-19 lockdown again,” Mr Landis said.

“To do that, we needed everyone to roll up their sleeves and get vaccinated — and we figured offering people a free beer at their local club was a great incentive!”

198 clubs across NSW are participating today.

To get yourself a free schooner you need to scan the QR code at a participating club or register online here.

You can find a list of participating venues here.

This comes after NSW hit the 90% double vax milestone yesterday.

“To have hit our state’s vaccination targets so quickly is fantastic and we’re excited to reward those who got the jab with an ice-cold schooner of Together Ale. A big thanks to Lion and Batch Brewing Co for helping us bring Your Local Club Freedom Day to life,” Landis added.
