So today we all received the sad news we’ve been dreading: Cannes is just not happening (again!) in 2021. And while B&T wanted to hold off letting you all know until we had things a little more advanced, we thought today we had to assuage your disappointment. Yes, people! Don’t put your pastels away just yet, we’re off to glorious Cairns in Queensland in August.
The Misfits (publisher of B&T and the wonderful people they are) have come storming to your rescue with a legitimate, tax deductible work expense: Cannes in Cairns. It’ll be just like the French version just with better beer, cheaper flights and no need for a phrase book!
Forget the South of France, we’re putting on a bash north of the Tropic of Capricorn and all of adland is invited. With temperatures a golden 25-28 degrees day and night, it’s all the winter warming you’ll need and Tropical North Queensland has all the fun and activities to keep even the most restless soul satisfied.
And let’s not forget, while you’re hearing from the most creative, practical and downright entertaining speakers between trips to the reef or the Daintree, you’re actually doing your bit to keep the Australian economy going. Hell, ScoMo has even offered to pay for half your airfare. So, what are you waiting for? Book your tickets now.
It’s the best offer you’re going to get this year, and probably next year too!
Okay, so we’re not quite ready to accept your bookings just yet, but mark the first week of August as Cairns time and register your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
And stay tuned, there’s lots more coming soon.
