B&T understands that Lisa Sheehan has departed WPP.

Sheehan held the role of chief people officer, initially on a contract basis from November 2020. She was appointed the position permanently two months ago.

It is understood that the role has now been made redundant.

The news comes after Toby Hemming, WPP’s head of comms and marketing, accepted a redundancy package yesterday and CEO Jens Monsees stepped down three weeks ago.

B&T understands that the local operations are currently being managed out of London.

WPP shareholders voted in favour of a global takeover, and WPP AUNZ has since been delisted from the  ASX.

The Aussie ops are currently without a country manager following Monsees’ departure, while the all-important GroupM CEO seat is yet to be filled despite an exhaustive search by recruiters both internally and externally.
