What The Hell Is Bootcamp All About?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that B&T is running an event next week called Bootcamp. Tickets are selling fast, but we thought we’d give you a little explainer on what exactly you’ll be in for.

Presented by APN Outdoor and MediaCom, B&T Bootcamp will be a day filled with mentoring and masterclasses that will have attendees walking away better, smarter and ready to be more successful than ever.

There’ll be some amazing masterclass speakers and some inspiring mentors – making this a day an unmissable event for anyone who wants to improve themselves in the Australian communication industry.

But what makes it so unmissable?

Well, businesses often invest heavily in training their staff in the functional aspects of their job, but teaching skills relating to emotions like purpose, negotiation and resilience are often neglected – which are the skills that retain and win business.

Through a combination of speed networking, group mentoring and masterclasses, Bootcamp attendees are offered the chance to network with others in their position, learn from experienced mentors and develop new self-awareness and mindsets along the way.

Basically, this event will provide you with the skills you need to propel your career – not to mention giving you an edge when competing for a promotion, clients or new business for your company. Sounds pretty good, right?

Providing you with said skills are eight amazing mentors – execs from the best of the best agencies who are giving up their time on March 20 for some killer speed-mentoring. Don’t let them down!

The mentors for the B&T Bootcamp are:

  • Charmaine Moldrich, CEO of the Outdoor Media Association and MOVE
  • Anthony Xydis, Chief Marketing Officer at Australian Radio Network
  • Willie Pang, CEO of MediaCom
  • Nitsa Lotus, Managing Director of TBWA\Sydney
  • Ben Welsh, Chief Creative Officer at DDB Sydney
  • Sharon Schoenborn, Director of Small, Medium and Corporate Business at Microsoft Australia
  • Andy Lark, CMO at Foxtel
  • Ryan Meyer, Director, Asia-Pacific at General Assembly

But that’s not all!

As well as speed-mentoring, B&T Bootcamp will combine the best parts of our Women in Media Forum and Towards 2030 for a day filled with self-awareness and emotional intelligence masterclasses.

These bootcamp masterclasses will cover purpose, values and negotiation, by Culture Zone director Kate Chaffer, MediaCom Global Executive Creative Director Gemma Hunter and eccentric business scientist Allan Parker. How could you miss that?!
