In the great tradition of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, here are the ads of the week that are giving us the warm & fuzzies and those that are making us want to scoop our eyes out with a rusty spoon.
The Good
Client: Café Pelé Coffee
Agency: Lew’Lara\TBWA, Brazil
Clever little interactive billboard shows the power of the yawn. What we like most about this ad is that we were yawning whilst watching. The ad is designed to remind you to wake up and drink some coffee.

The Naughty
Client: Coco De Mer
Agency: TBWA\London
UK lingerie brand has released a sexy and surreal advert. The ad is a heady mix of NSFW images of women, a fighter jet, a man drinking milk and owls. ooohhhhh sexy.
Director Rankin, told Campaign that the ad is “definitely the best thing that I have done in film. … It has layers of meaning, and to get that in advertising is rare.”
He added: “Doing something like this is about creating an experience. We’re putting it on a different level. Putting it on a level with enjoying a film. People call it content marketing, but it’s just about making something people want to watch.”
The WTF
Client: Don Giulio Salumeria, Mosco
Agency: The 23, Krasnogorsk
Last year, Russia imposed a full embargo on U.S and E.U food imports in retaliation for sanctions over Ukraine. In response to the ban, an Italian deli in Moscow came up with a clever little stunt to tell costumers his deli was still selling meats imported from Italy-without giving themselves up to the police.
Makes you wonder if the police are knocking down Don Giulio’s door.
Join us next week, for what’s turning us on and turning us off in the advertising world.
