Wednesday TV Wrap: Once Again, Hard Quiz Upstages Its More Fancied FTA Rivals

The wonderfully eccentric Hard Quiz continues to punch above its weight, yet again the most watched entertainment show of Wednesday night.

The comic quiz show pulled 710,000 viewers last night and saw of Seven’s Bride & Prejudice (623,000) and 10’s The Bachelorette (618,000).

Despite its combo with Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell (703,000), the ABC still had to settle for fourth spot last night.

Seven took the honours with 30.9 per cent of the audience eyeballs. Nine was second with 25.4 per cent, 10 had 18.6 per cent, the ABC took 18.3 per cent and SBS enjoyed 6.9 per cent.

Seven’s night ran thus: 6pm news (949,000), Bride & Prejudice (623,000), Home And Away (580,000), 9-1-1 (498,00), The Chase (483,000) and Criminal Minds (251,000).

Over at Nine, it’s night went this way: 6pm news (829,000), ACA (718,000), Young Sheldon (522,000), Hot Seat (436,000) and Manifest (291,000).

Ten’s evening was dominated by The Bachelorette (618,000), The Project (460,000), 10 News First (371,000) and Blind Date (284,000).

For the ABC, it was thus: Hard Quiz (710,000), Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell (703,000), 7pm news (629,000), 7:30 (615,000), Tomorrow Tonight (506,000) and The Set (142,000).

For the SBS, its best was Child Genius that enjoyed 198,000.
