Award-winning video production company, Visual Domain has expanded its leadership team naming Adam Connolly as Creative Director, Dave Mallen as Melbourne Director and Kade Robinson as Sydney Director.

Connolly has been with the company for eight years and his reputation has been built on more than a decade’s experience in film, video and animation. He plays a pivotal role in providing creative leadership for all key accounts, while directing bespoke work for clients such as Football Australia, Totally Workwear, ACY Securities, Homely, and Delicious.

Connolly works closely with Mallen and Robinson, leading the company’s production teams across Sydney and Melbourne.

“At Visual Domain we work with what we call, Inspired Creative Grit. Working with people who are passionate and driven every day is so infectious and inspires all of us to do great work,” Connolly said.

“Over the last six years I have seen the quality of our work skyrocket. I think a key driver of that is curiosity. I work with our whole production team across Melbourne and Sydney to help channel that curiosity into their work and encourage them to find one per cent improvements each day and hone their craft.”

“At Visual Domain we never stand still. It doesn’t matter if it is a big-budget TV spot or an internal comms video, we do it to the best of our ability,” he said.

Mallen has been promoted to Melbourne Director. He began working at Visual Domain as editor in 2013. He’s a strong storyteller and oversaw successful video campaigns for Origin Energy, Yellow, Bevmarks, NAB, Kmart and Nandos.

Meanwhile, Robinson joined Visual Domain as Sydney Director. He has written, produced and directed commercial, native and branded content for some of Australia’s biggest media networks including the Nine Network, Southern Cross Austereo, Network Ten and Nova Entertainment.

“As the Sydney Director I serve as the creative through-line on our bigger or more creatively demanding projects; ensuring the client’s brief and vision are brought to life through all stages of production,” said Robinson.

“Visual Domain is such a great business with strong foundations. We already have a substantial area of the local video production market absolutely covered and so from here, our aim is to build and scale up with more internal growth and in-house talent,” he said.

Renece Brewster, Visual Domain Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder said: “We work closely with brands as their partner in production. Since COVID, we have seen a real shift with our clients coming to us more for the creation ideation as they steer away from their traditional agencies, so we’re really excited to bolster this part of the business.”

“What sets Visual Domain apart are three key things – our people, our product and our platform, which is our unique custom-built client hub. Adam, Dave and Kade will be at forefront of leading our departments to bring the best out of every single project that comes through the door across our offices in both Sydney and Melbourne,” she said.

“We’re thrilled to have them all join our highly-skilled and experienced leadership team as we continue to grow and provide more opportunities and creative ideas for our clients,” Ms Brewster said.

Visual Domain works with leading brands as their partner in production. As Australia’s largest in-house production team, Visual Domain delivers first class personalised service all under the one roof. The company has created a unique custom-built platform to help leading brands and businesses embrace video at scale.

The 12-year-old business leads with its people, product and platform to produce world class content for the country’s leading brands and companies including REA Group, SEEK, NAB, Jetstar, CUB, iSelect, Bupa, Football Australia, Linfox, MYOB and Deliveroo.
