Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell surprised viewers last night with a glimpse of male nudity.
In fairness, the episode is rated M, with a warning for coarse language and nudity. B&T‘s a safe-for-work publication, so the eggplant addition is ours, not the ABC’s.
The shot came during a skit about defamation with comedian Francis Greenslade.
When Micallef asked if they could discuss the ABC’s censorship rules, a man in his full, authentic birthday suit entered the stage and said that Ita Buttrose – the ABC’s chair – “wants to wind the segment up now”.
Last night’s ep received a load of praise on Twitter (though not explicitly for the nudity).
Classic #MadAsHell tonight on a number of levels. Very fine. Get yeself to iview if you missed it.

@shaunmicallef forget the male nudity. The real talking point was the impressive Christopher Walken impersonation. #MadAsHell
