“UnAustralian!” Scott Cam Castigates Influencers For Quitting The Block

Nine’s Scott Cam has slammed influencers after they quit the reality show, The Block instead of finishing off the season.

The Block scored big this season when it nabbed influencer Elle Ferguson and her husband Joel Patfull. He used to play AFL professionally she has hundreds of thousands of Instagram followers.  Basically, they are a certified power couple and a pretty big win for the show.

However, reportedly the two didn’t last long on the award-winning show. While rumours have swirled they left due to family matters, Cam has shared his side of the story.

TV Tonight reported that Cam said, “We had a 48-hour challenge to choose the house that you get and they scarpered after 48 hours. It’s something that’s never happened before.

“45,000 people applied to be on The Block and win life-changing money. These guys got on and they just couldn’t handle the pace after 48 hours … Which to me is a bit unAustralian! Have a go! It’s piss poor.”

Between this and The Block also desperately searching for Tradies, it has not been an easy season for Nine’s hit show. But often an uneasy season means very good viewing, so it’ll be exciting to see it launch.

Ferguson and Patfull are yet to comment on why they left.
