Fans have taken to social media to roast the ad, which sees McGregor walk into a room before seeing a wire stretched across the floor, jumping over it, and bizarrely turning into a stop-motion character.
A troubling 2019
While some comments have dubbed the ad “corny”, many users have questioned Reebok’s decision to feature McGregor, considering his troubled 2019.
Last year, McGregor pleaded guilty to assault after he was caught on camera punching a man in an Irish pub. Prior to that, he was caught on camera smashing a man’s phone after he tried to take a photo of McGregor outside a Miami hotel.
Furthermore, at the end of March, it was reported by the New York Times that McGregor was under investigation for an alleged sexual assault incident in Ireland.
McGregor denied the allegations through his manager, but has not commented publicly.
The Irishman is making his UFC comeback against Donald Cerrone at the end of January.
