Tuesday TV Wrap: Ninja Warrior’s Winner Announcement Nabs 900,000

Last night saw the season finale of Australian Ninja Warrior, which peaked with the winner announcement at 918,000 viewers.

The rest of the grand final scored more than 100,000 less at 815,000 viewers, as per OzTAM’s metro data.

On top of the ratings lorded Seven News with 1,155,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 1,104,000.

After ANW came A Current Affair with 790,000 viewers, while ABC News had 743,000.

Looking to entertainment, Farmer Wants A Wife performed at a similar level to last night with 684,000 viewers – a slight drop from Monday.

Seven also had The Chase with 660,000 viewers and Home and Away with with 650,000.

Next was 10 with finals week on MasterChef, which scored 609,000 viewers, while The Project had 445,000 and 10 News First had 410,000.

Along came Nine with Hot Seat which had 580,000 viewers while The Weakest Link also emerged on the top 20 most viewed list with 369,000.

Finally, the ABC’s 7.30 had 569,000 viewers and the season finale of Anh’s Brush With Fame featured Midnight Oil frontman Peter Garrett to 524,000 viewers.

The Nine Network won the night overall with 30.9 per cent of the daily share, followed by the Seven Network 28.1 per cent. Next was Network 10 with 17.5 per cent while the ABC TV Network had 14.0 per cent and the SBS Network had a solid 9.5 per cent.
