Hillary Clinton’s latest digital campaign aimed at Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is a single-serve website that stamps Snapchat-like filters on your Facebook profile with Trump quotes.

Team Clinton have chosen about 20 different options of Trump’s most controversial comments to use as a filter, including:

  • On Muslim during Republican presidential debate: “They’re not coming to this country if I’m president.”
  • From a 2004 Playboy interview: “If you need Viagra, you’re probably with the wrong girl.”
  • His comments about Rosie O’Donnell: “Fat Pig”
  • On Mexicans: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. …. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
  • From The Art of the Comeback: “For a man to be successful he needs support at home, just like my father had from my mother, not someone who is always griping and bitching.”

The campaign is clever way for the Clinton team to data mine information from users- in order to get a meme you need to log into Facebook first and to share your filter you need to register your email address to the Clinton campaign.

Within a few minutes of registering, users receive an email from Clinton’s campaign that it has registered your email address to HillaryClinton.com. A clever way to boost numbers and learn demographics to target.

The email reads:

Hi, there–

Thanks for registering an account at HillaryClinton.com using …

If you need to make any changes to your account, just head here.

Stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved with the campaign. In the meantime, ask your friends and family to join us:

Thanks again,

Hillary for America

A Twitter search shows people are using it and sharing the memes, and their data with the Clinton campaign:
