Tinder has launched a six-part podcast series DTR short for “define the relationship” which will cover various topics surrounding dating in the digital age.
Here’s the description: “DTR is brought to you by Tinder and Gimlet Creative, and hosted by Jane Marie (This American Life, Jezebel, Cosmopolitan). Part wisdom, part data science, part investigative reporting—it’s a deep dive into the conversation about dating and relationships in the digital age.
“From the ubiquitous ‘hey’ as an opening line to first date ‘fails’ to the various ways people Tinder in different cultures around the globe, DTR explores the good and bad, the hilarious and awkward, the wonderful and bizarre aspects of dating in today’s world.”

“We have a lot of Tinder team members who love to listen to podcasts,” said Ferrell McDonald, chief marketing officer at Tinder. “We have a lot of interesting data and stories to tell, so it just really felt like a great opportunity for us.
“The rules of dating are constantly evolving. People are experiencing new challenges and naturally have questions that they may be hesitant to ask and new experiences that they want to share but might not have had the appropriate platform to—until now.
“We hope our audience will be inspired by other people’s successes and failures, because that’s what makes us human. … And that’s what makes modern relationships so interesting.”
“It’s not just about Tinder,” said Nazanin Rafsanjani, creative director at Gimlet Media and head of Gimlet Creative. “It’s about all the things people are confronting on Tinder or on any other dating app.”
She added, “We want to make something that anyone would want to listen to.”
