Seven’s AFL chat show The Front Bar had its best night of the year last night ahead of tomorrow’s AFL grand final between GWS and Richmond.
The footy chat fest posted a respectable 526,000 viewers according to OzTAM metro numbers and was the second most entertainment show of the night behind 10’s Gogglebox (558,000).
It allowed Seven to romp home for a Thursday night win with 32.9 per cent audience share (all channels). Nine did 24.4 per cent, 10 had 18.2 per cent, the ABC did 17.9 per cent and SBS had 6.6 per cent.
Other highlights for Seven was its 6pm news (896,000), Home And Away (561,000) and The Chase (487,000).
10 did well with The Project (394,000), Jamie’s Ultimate Veg (334,000) and 10 News First (330,000).
Nine’s doers included its 6pm news (706,000), ACA (590,000), RBT (497,000) and Hot Seat (410,000).
The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (615,000), 7.30 (507,000), Escape From The City (415,000) and a repeat of Vera (302,000).
