Independent agency THINKERBELL has announced the appointment of Margie Reid to the team as managing partner. Reid will be joining THINKERBELL on January 8th, following a 11-year stint at media agency OMD, including the last few years as managing director.
“I’m pleased to be joining the THINKERBELL team and look forward to practicing a little measured magic for our clients”, said Reid. “We’ve been talking for a while and I guess what made the decision to join them an easy one was their focus on bringing together the very best of marketing sciences and brilliant creative minds.”
“What I’ll be bringing to the party is a broad understanding of the marketing and media landscape, strong management skills, and perhaps upweighting the ‘measured’ component of the ‘measured magic’ proposition,” she said.
THINKERBELL very publically announced they were looking for a managing director type person two months ago.
“We were inundated with people interested in the position,” said Creative Partner Jim Ingram. “However, Margie was the very first person we met, and we instantly knew she was our person. Margie brings with her a proven track record of leading a happy agency to business success, as well as sharing the same sense of wonder and excitement about the possibilities of THINKERBELL.”

Some of Reid’s more recent career highlights include; winning the Coles Group and Target accounts, retaining Village Roadshow and winning MFA’s for brands such as Mazda, Red Cross Blood Service and Roadshow Films.
