Think TV has announced the appointment of media analyst and research expert Steve Weaver (pictured above) as its director of research, insights, and education.
In his new role, Weaver will report to Think TV CEO Kim Portrate and manage the organisation’s research program, which is designed to help advertisers and their agencies get the best out of today’s multi-platform TV.
Weaver has over 25 years’ experience in media measurement and research, most recently as group director of audience science and analytics at Nine Entertainment, where he acted as director of research for 11 years.
He also served for two years as chairman of metropolitan TV measurement body OzTAM.
Portrate said Weaver is an important addition to the Think TV team because of his unique skill set.
“He has also been a part of the TV community for many years, and has seen TV evolve into the anywhere, anytime multi-platform media it is today,” she said.
“We are delighted to have him on board as we prepare our packed research schedule for ThinkTV’s second year.”
Commenting on his new role, Weaver said: “I am excited to be able to work with a united industry body that is dedicated to providing advertisers and their agencies with empirical, fact-based research that will support ThinkTV’s mission to help them get the very best out of today’s multi-platform TV.
