Ruth Haffenden Departs The Works For Global Marketing Role

Ruth Haffenden (lead image) has departed creative agency The Works to take up a new role as global head of brand and marketing for the ethical bamboo clothing range Boody, B&T understands.

Haffenden had been at The Works since 2017 and had been instrumental in establishing the agency’s content and social arm, Daresay.

Daresay offers strategic planning, creative production, including video and post-production, design, animation, editorial, amplification and analytics.

B&T has reached out to Haffenden and The Works for comment, however, had not received a reply prior to publication.

Prior to that, Haffenden was strategy and content director at the now failed content marketing firm King Content.

Boody is an Australian-owned ethical clothing company that now sells in 15 countries. It specialises in fabrics made from bamboo viscose yarn.

The brand has ratcheted up its marketing of late, using out of home to concentrate on its “Official Underwear of the Entire Planet” campaign via Clemenger BBDO. The campaign features world-renowned ethnologist Dr Jane Goodall as brand spokesperson.

Boody is the first Australian and New Zealand underwear brand to achieve B Corp certification.
