The Bowraville Murders documentary crowdfunding campaign is set to launch on Saturday 20 June.
The documentary, directed by Muruwari and Gomeroi filmmaker Allan Clarke, investigates one of the longest unsolved serial murder cases in Australian history.
While the documentary has been commissioned by SBS, the filmmakers still need to raise a final $30,000 to complete the film by next year.
What’s it about?
In 1990-91 three Aboriginal children from the same street in rural NSW were killed within five months of each other.
There has only ever been one suspect, a white man who was acquitted for two of the three murders after a racially biased police investigation. For the past 30 years, the victims’ families have fought a David-versus-Goliath battle for justice.

The team is launching its social media crowdfunding campaign from Saturday 20th to Monday 30th June. All crowdfunding is done through Documentary Australia Foundation, which means it is tax-deductible.
