Targus Appoints Five Agencies To Boost Customer Engagement In Australia & NZ

Global technology and mobile carry solutions company Targus has finalised its first Australia and New Zealand agency roster.

Following an extensive search and selection review process that included more than 20 agencies, Targus has appointed five agencies with a range of specialist abilities to work with its marketing team, led by chief marketing officer Stephen Byrne.

They are: SomeOne (creative), Switch Digital (digital marketing), Uberbrand (marketing support and digital development), Boxer & Co (packaging), and Hotwire (PR).

Targus general manger Claire French said Targus was completely reorienting itself to a changing market with a marketing-led shift strategy designed to develop greater awareness of the company’s technology and carry solutions offering.

“We’re looking to build deeper customer engagement particularly with our retail partners and through digital channels including Amazon and eBay,” she said.

“These agency appointments reflect both a new and significant investment by Targus in a customer-centric and marketing-led approach.”

SomeOne founder Laura Coulson said it was delighted to have been appointed as the lead creative agency for Targus across the Trans-Tasman.

“Working closely with the team and industry leading consultancies, our role on the roster will see us lead the brand development, design and communications based on their new progressive brand strategy,” she said.

“It’s the beginning of an exciting, long-term strategic and creative relationship.”
