It may have got off to a sluggish start, but MKR went over the million-mark for the first time in 2019 last night.

On the first day of official TV ratings, the stalwart cooking show had its best ratings of the year, pulling 1.046 million viewers according to OzTAM’s five city metro numbers.

Still, it wasn’t enough to significantly dent MAFS’ fortunes, which again was the most watched show of Sunday with an impressive 1.26 million viewers.

Over at 10, an elimination on I’m A Celebrity… pulled 625,000 at its peak.

Nine won the night with 33.8 per cent audience share, Seven had 29.4 per cent, while the ABC took the bronze with 16.8 per cent. 10 managed 15.7 per cent and the SBS was incredibly disappointing, posting a mere 4.3 per cent.

Seven’s 6pm news (951,000) beat Nine’s (940,000). 60 Minutes did well for Nine, pulling 904,000.

Other highlights for Seven included Operation Live that pulled 544,000 and its Big Bash coverage that peaked at 308,000.

10’s other standouts were a repeat of Hughesy We Have A Problem (321,000) and The Sunday Project (298,000).

The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (645,000), Magical Land Of Oz (552,000), The Cry (486,000) and Mrs Wilson (391,000).

Best for SBS was SBS World News (120,000), while even Adolf disappointed; Hitler’s World pulling a mere 107,000.
