It’s not easy reporting live; anything can happen! Which was precisely the case when an ABC reporter’s live-cross got upstaged by a flasher.
Jessica Stewart, a news reporter for ABC, was reporting live from Perth on The State of Origin. Yes, the one that snagged 1.7 million eyeballs and saw the Blues take it home. So many people were very invested in the game, and I’m sure plenty of eyeballs would have tuned in to hear the ABC’s take.
However, the reporter was upstaged by a Queensland supporter who lifted up her shirt to flash the camera. The supporter was wearing a Queenslander beanie and scarf, and I guess she got caught up in the moment of losing? And decided to flash the camera.
It was a pretty quick moment, she then disappeared off-camera, and it’s hard to tell if the reporter even noticed, as the flasher was behind her. But, I’m sure she’s very aware now of what happened now.
Considering the amount of flashing stories we’ve covered on B&T, it’s refreshing for a woman to be the culprit for a change.
