Sportsbet Unveils Melbourne Mural Of Socceroos Captain Kicking Putin’s Groin

Never particularly subtle with its advertising approach, online betting platform Sportsbet has unveiled a mural promoting the FIFA World Cup (that kicks off in Russia this Friday) featuring Socceroos’ captain Mile Jedinak landing one straight to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s testicle region.

The ten-by-four-metre mural is the work of acclaimed street artist Scott Marsh and appears on the corner of Johnston and Chapel Street in Fitzroy, Melbourne.

Aching genitalia aside, it also offers a “gamble responsibly” message, too.

Commenting on the stunt, Sportsbet’s Ella Zampatti said: “The Socceroos have a pretty tough draw in the group stage so they’ll need all the help they can get! We’ve made them this tribute to wish them well as they set out to take Russia by the balls.”
