Spark Foundry Melbourne today announced the appointment of Anton Abraham to the new role of group client partner for the Toyota account, along with a raft of senior hires.
Abraham commences in his role effective immediately.
Managing director at Spark Foundry Melbourne, Peter Butler said: “Anton’s experience in successfully leading large clients with multiple stakeholders is extremely valuable when working on a business with such scale as Toyota Motor Corporation Australia (TMCA). He appreciates the rigour and diligence required to produce effective and best-in-category work. And his absolute love of cars is a bonus.”
Abraham, who has moved from Mediacom, said: “I’m delighted to join one of Australia’s fastest-growing media agencies, Spark Foundry, and the powerhouse that is Publicis Groupe. It’s exciting to have the opportunity to work with Australia’s leading auto brand.”
Spark Foundry’s Melbourne office has onboarded a brilliant cross-functional team to support TMCA, including senior hires, Ally Cooney as director of digital, Michaela Drew as strategy director, and Emma Schmidt as client partner for Lexus.
The agency has promoted Rhonda Dunlop to group partnership director for Toyota.
Meanwhile, Paul Wilkinson has been appointed as Spark Melbourne’s first head of investment. Frank Curcio has also joined as Melbourne head of planning.
Butler adds: “Winning a piece of business with the profile of TMCA has empowered us to recruit a number of high-calibre senior staff, while bringing back a well-regarded former employee from London with Emma, and deservedly promoting Rhonda, a loyal and respected member of our agency.
We are fortunate to have these people working alongside Anton, as we know they will play a significant role in the future success of both TMCA and Spark Foundry.”
