SOCIETY Snare WPP’s Annike Morgan To Lead New Sydney Office

Integrated marketing communications agency, SOCIETY, has appointed communications professional Annike Morgan as group director to open and lead its new Sydney office from mid-December 2019.

Morgan’s appointment will further support SOCIETY’s rapid growth since its inception in 2017.

SOCIETY was recently named Winner in the 2019 SA Telstra Business Awards in the Emerging and Energised category and has a national and international client base, with key clients including San Remo, Violet Crumble, South Australian National Football League (SANFL), Department for Innovation and Skills- SA, and the world-leader for prescription eyeglasses, Essilor.

With increased remits and new national client wins including Mollydooker Wines and Kelly Engineering, the time was right to establish an official presence in Sydney.

Morgan, most recently practice director consumer brands at WPP’s PPR Sydney (now BCW), has close to 20 years’ experience working for significant national and global brands, with a passion for Travel & Tourism, Retail and Lifestyle industries.

Her clients have included Emirates Airline and Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa, South African Tourism, Vail and Rock Resorts, Tourism NT, McDonald’s, Woolworths, Subway, Petbarn, Colgate Palmolive, Lion and more.

Morgan’s appointment follows the recent hiring of Lachlan Cunningham to lead SOCIETY’s growing digital and social media services division, including oversight of its newly established Chinese social media platform, Rover.

SOCIETY founder and managing director, Dena Vassallo, said she was thrilled to be working with Annike again and felt there was no one better suited to take on the role in Sydney.

Vassallo said: “Annike is a best in class operator, and well respected by the industry.

“Her understanding of the media and marketing landscape, combined with the personal attention and professionalism she brings to her work, will be a huge asset to SOCIETY as we take another step forward in our journey.

“I have worked with Annike previously, and I’m excited to see what we can do together now.”

Vassallo added: “SOCIETY has been representing clients headquartered in Sydney and Brisbane since we started, and in that time the agency has grown significantly.

“We plan to continue that through an expanded national presence and by pushing the boundaries on our integrated capabilities.

“Annike and Lachlan will be excellent leaders to our team and clients.”

Morgan will commence the role in mid-December, with SOCIETY to announce its new Sydney location in early 2020.
