Independently-owned and female-led marketing communications agency SOCIETY has revealed two appointments in the Adelaide office and the appointment of its newest client, South Australian Tourism Commission, through its events unit, Events South Australia.

Bolstering the team, SOCIETY has added Jessie Morris-Tooms (pictured left), joining as marketing communications irector. She joins SOCIETY from her most recent role at The Coca-Cola Company on the MOJO Kombucha brand and brings 15 years of experience both in-house and at agencies in media, advertising, PR, digital and social roles.

Joining from an advertising agency and previously in-house with San Remo, Sarah Camerlengo (pictured right) is a newly appointed marketing communications consultant. Camerlengo has a strong marketing background and is adept at working with a wide range of influencers and ambassadors.

These appointments have been complimented by South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC)  joining the SOCIETY client roster.

Delivering iconic event experiences including the Santos Tour Down Under, the largest festival of cycling in the southern hemisphere, and the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant, SATC’s Events SA team appointed SOCIETY following a competitive public relations tender process.

Presenting fresh perspective and community-first communications strategies, SOCIETY will assist the Events SA team to help build awareness and engagement with the 2021 National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant and 2022 Santos Tour Down Under events.

“I am so pleased to announce the newest additions to the SOCIETY team and as we continue to grow, we remain true to our core values putting people at the heart of all we do. I look forward to working with Jessie and Sarah’s exceptional skillsets to produce some great work for our clients,” said Dena Vassallo, managing director and founder of SOCIETY.

“We are also excited to expand our working relationships with the South Australian Tourism Commission joining our society, and allowing our team to contribute to the vibrant, unbeatable events experiences crafted by Events SA. We’re looking forward to more growth in the second half of 2021 and beyond.”
