Women in Media is thrilled to announce that Sandra Sully, one of Australia’s most respected journalists and media personalities, will be a Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the highly anticipated Women in Media National Conference 2023.

Sandra Sully is a household name in Australian media, known for her extensive experience and outstanding contributions to journalism. As the chief news presenter for Network Ten’s flagship news bulletin, Sandra has been at the forefront of delivering breaking news, engaging stories, and thought-provoking interviews to millions of Australians for over two decades.

Her unwavering commitment to journalistic integrity and excellence has earned her numerous awards and accolades, making her a true trailblazer in the field. The Women in Media National Conference, taking place in Sydney for the first time on 8-9 September 2023, is a premier event that brings together professionals from all areas of the media industry including journalism, communications, production, public relations, publishing and digital media.

Ita Buttrose AC OBE will headline an impressive speaker line-up, with panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities, the conference aims to foster meaningful conversations and drive positive change in the media landscape.

With Sandra Sully as an MC, attendees can expect an engaging and dynamic event that will leave them inspired and empowered. This two-day event is open to all members of the media industry. “I have supported Women in Media since its inception and am honoured and excited to be part of this year’s National Conference,” said Sully.

“As a long-time advocate for gender equality in the media industry, I am passionate about supporting and empowering women in their professional journeys. “Recently released data by Women in Media shows we’ve still got a long way to go to reach equality – and I think we all acknowledge that. This year’s event will be bigger than ever and that reflects the need that women working in media have to connect and support each other, building valuable networks. Men have been master networkers and we are now catching up.

“I am looking forward to engaging with fellow media professionals, facilitating important conversations, and celebrating the achievements of women in media,” she added.

“We are thrilled to have Sandra Sully as our MC for the Women in Media National Conference,” said Victoria Laurie, co-chair, Women in Media.

“Sandra’s extensive experience, professionalism, and passion for empowering women in media make her the perfect fit for our event. We are confident that her presence will enhance the conference and inspire our attendees.”

The Women in Media National Conference is open to media professionals from all backgrounds, and early bird registration is now open. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of an empowering and insightful event led by Sandra Sully. Early bird discounted tickets are available now with the full program, speakers and special guests to be revealed soon.
