Sam Brennan To Head Nine’s New Retail Media Partnership Program – RTLX

Nine has announced a retail media partnership program, RTLX. Its says RTLX will amplify and extend the omnichannel ecosystem of its retail media partners and help advertisers multiply the return on their retail media investment.

In a press release for this year’s upfronts, Nine said that the emergence of retail media is creating unique opportunities for brands to connect with consumers closest to their point of purchase.

“Every week Nine reaches more than 19 million Australians across its Total TV, Total Audio and Total Publishing assets. With more than 20 million signed in users across its digital platforms enabling precision targeting at scale to deliver real business outcomes, Nine is the perfect retail media partner,” it said.

RTLX will give retail partners access to Nine’s content to create new consumer experiences on their platforms and access to Nine’s development teams to create new and leverage existing data and advertising products.

The combination of Nine’s content, data, and technology with retail media partner assets will create a full-funnel mega-marketing platform for advertisers.

RTLX will work with brands to multiply the return on their retail media investment by unlocking Nine’s scale and using its content, data, and technology.

Nine’s chief sales officer, Michael Stephenson, said: “RTLX is a game-changing retail media partnership program available to all of our partners that have owned and earned media assets. It helps partners create full-funnel marketing solutions for brands and helps brands maximize the return on their retail media investment.”

Sam Brennan, currently Nin’es director of sales in Melbourne, has been appointed as the director of strategic partnerships – Retail Media, and will lead the new integrated team with research, insight, strategy, creative, production, econometric modelling, and commercial capability leveraging cross-platform resources from Powered.

“Retail media is in an exciting growth phase,” said Brennan. “RTLX will use the power of Nine to supercharge our retail media partner assets to create a powerful platform for brands. There’s never been a better time to partner with Nine”
