Russia For Sale Project Aims To Support Ukraine By Selling The Soviets One NFT At A Time

Masterminded by digital creative agency Leavingstone, the Russia For Sale project is designed to provide financial support to Ukraine and somewhat destabilise Russia by selling off plots of land as NFTs.

If you’ve ever wanted to be a land owner, an NFT connoisseur, or you’re just plain pissed at Russia, then this is your chance to get into the market and provide financial support to Ukraine to boot.

The Russia For Sale project sees the country subdivided into 2,443 unique plots of land, varying in size and cost, that can be purchased for as low as 0.05 ETH (around $209 AUD at time of writing).

The NFTs come with facts about the area purchased, their very own unique coat of arms, and give you non-fungible rights to the plot of land itself in a bid to show Russia how it feels to have their territories taken over.

All proceeds from the sales go directly to Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, assisting them in the process of rebuilding and stabilising their country, and every re-sale of the NFTs will see 5% of profits sent back to Ukraine on top.

“We’re a group of individuals who share deep concerns about the tragic events that are unfolding in Ukraine,” said Levan Lepsveridze, co-founder and creative chairmen at Leavingstone.

“I believe in ideas, in innovative projects like ours that can truly help people. It can also serve as an inspiration for other individuals so they could also contribute in any way possible to support Ukraine in these devastating times. Strength is in unity.”

To go shopping for your own land-based NFT, go to Russia For Sale.
