We’re now at the halfway mark this year for radio ratings, with the fourth survey released today, and B&T has done all the hard work for you in determining the winners and losers.
In Sydney 2GB’s Ben Fordham’s rise in the drive slot continued, overtaking KIIS 1065’s Will & Woody (down 1.2 per cent to 8.7 per cent) and Nova’s Kate, Tim & Marty (no change at 9.7 per cent) to reach top spot with 10.2 per cent market share (up 0.7 per cent).
However, the biggest shock was in Sydney’s brekkie slot, with Triple J’s Ben & Liam (up 1 per cent to 5.2 per cent) beating 2Day FM’s Em, Grant & Ed (down 0.6 per cent to 4.3 per cent). It sees the troubled SCA show undo all its good work in the previous ratings survey.
In Melbourne, all eyes were on GOLD104.3’s new brekkie host, Christian O’Connell, who had a solid ratings debut. However, despite the show’s 0.7 per cent market share rise, it wasn’t enough to make the top three in the early morning slot.
But perhaps the biggest concern for ARN right now in the Melbourne market is KIIS FM’s Jase & PJ, with the brekkie duo narrowly avoiding a fourth straight ratings decline with a 0.1 per cent market share increase to 4.9 per cent.
