Pureprofile is delighted to announce it has appointed former Leo Burnett Global Board Member Andrew Edwards as its Non-Executive Chairman.
With more than 30 years’ marketing and advertising experience, Edwards has a deep understanding of the global media landscape and further strengthens Pureprofile’s leadership at a time of significant growth.
Specifically, his knowledge and contacts in the European and North American markets will be valued and called upon in the continued expansion of the Pureprofile business in these geographies.
In addition to his global board responsibilities, Edwards was most recently chairman and CEO of internationally renowned advertising and marketing agency Leo Burnett Group UK and President of Leo Burnett Central Europe.
While there, he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions, as well as leading the roll-out of Leo Burnett’s mobile and social strategy. This depth of experience will be invaluable to Pureprofile’s leadership team as the company focuses on its key growth objectives and pursuing a pipeline of acquisition targets.
Prior to his roles for Leo Burnett, Edwards ran Australia’s most awarded direct marketing company, Cartwright Williams.
Edwards said, “Pureprofile is a fast-growing business with a strong heritage of building powerful technology and I’m honoured to be appointed to serve as its chairman.
“I first met Paul to talk about the concept of Pureprofile more than 15 years ago, and was involved in helping him develop it into a commercial business by introducing him to his first major client.
“It’s clear his vision was very prescient from the outset, and I’ve always admired the team’s ability to be ahead of the market when it comes to innovation and tech.
“I believe the company is uniquely positioned to capitalise on current and future trends in data technology and programmatic advertising, and I’m genuinely excited to be working more closely with the team to achieve its growth objectives.”
Pureprofile CEO Paul Chan said, “I have known Andrew professionally for many years now and he has always been a strong supporter of the company vision and the growth opportunities Pureprofile can take advantage of.
“I am proud to have someone with such a deep understanding of the global marketing and advertising industry as our chairman as we focus on significant expansion into other global growth markets.
“Andrew knew Fred Swaab, our late Chairman, and I know he shared my respect for Fred’s guidance and leadership. Fred was very proud of all we achieved, and myself and the board remain committed to continuing his legacy as we take the company forward.”
