Ontario Premier, Dough Ford brought a press conference to its knees when he accidentally swallowed a bee!

Ford was discussing the privatising of health care during a presser and was fielding questions from journos, when a bee flew directly into his mouth causing him to choke.

Ford said: “Holy Christ, I just swallowed a bee!”

Ford then began coughing and reached for his water bottle.

Naturally, the press conference came to a screeching halt.

Social media is buzzing after Ontario’s Premier Doug Ford swallowed a bee during a live news conference in Dundalk, Ont. https://t.co/ekWpzH3YkG pic.twitter.com/pm3OSmHYuk

Ford tried to joke off the incident and said: “‘I’m good. He’s down here buzzing around right now.”

Ford then touched his stomach and jokingly said: “‘He has a lot of real estate!’

Eventually, everyone calmed down and he continued the press conference. Although, the bee certainly caused a buzz!

Naturally, Twitter has weighed in.

Doug Ford swallows a bee.

Doug Ford privatizes health care, wastes tax $$, cuts education funding, funds unneeded highways, rewards crony donors etc.

I suggest we get past the whole 'Doug Ford swallowed a bee' thing and focus on the whole 'Doug Ford is driving Ontario's health care system into the ground' thing.#onpoli

Now Ford will spend the rest of his career trying to live down the bee saga, which oddly makes his career very similar to Jerry Seinfelds!
