Perkbox Australia Appoints New Country Manager

Perkbox, the global benefits and rewards platform, has appointed former Google, Zip Co and Expedia executive Ross McDonald as Country Manager.

McDonald brings over two decades of experience to the role, holding key management positions in a number of Australian and global growth and technology companies.

The appointment comes amid the global reimagination and launch of Perkbox’s platform, aimed at helping employers care for, connect with, and celebrate their people around the world.

“It’s an exciting time to join the Perkbox Australia team as the company is solving a real challenge in today’s workplaces,” Perkbox Australia Country Manager Ross McDonald said.

“Teams around Australia are tired, fragmented, and outright fatigued by the pandemic. Rather than risk the associated burn-out and staff resignations, we’re seeing forward-looking organisations implement solutions to connect and recognise employees, and reinforce their cultural values, wherever they may be working.”

“Perkbox is playing a key role in providing the tools companies need to connect employees at scale. It’s recent evolution  addresses the disconnect between rewarding and recognising remote and overseas teams too, as they are often forgotten when it comes to managing culture and motivation in the workplace.”

The new Perkbox platform combines perks – including discounts on retail, travel and food — wellbeing tools, rewards and employee recognition on a single mobile app.

Perkbox’s wellbeing offering includes free access to HIIT workouts, hypnotherapy and meditation guides, and is updated regularly with curated content.

The platform also provides companies with a centralised hub for company news and gives employers the ability to track and recognise key employee milestones.

McDonald added: “All perks and tools on the platform have been designed with remote and distributed teams in mind. We’ve pivoted to become a simple, cost-effective solution that helps future-proof organisations against an increasing push towards remote work.”
