News Corp Australia has announced the appointment of Alice Almeida as head of digital strategy and innovation for the business.
In this new role, Almeida will work across News Digital Networks Australia (News DNA) and national sales, focusing on developing projects that will reinforce and build on News’ role as a digital leader.
She will also explore new opportunities with marketers using News Corp Australia’s data, consumer research and insights.
Almeida is a highly regarded media, consumer research and measurement specialist with 16 years’ experience in media, holding a number of roles with some of Australia’s largest media companies including News Corp, Nine Entertainment and the Seven Network.
Most recently, Almeida was the manager of innovation and insights at data and analytics company Hitwise.
News Corp Australia’s managing director of digital revenue, Cameron King, said: “Alice is an innovative digital thinker and I’m delighted she has joined the team to lead our digital strategy.
