Deloitte Australia has announced the appointment of Matt McGrath (pictured below) as its new chief marketing officer.
McGrath joins Deloitte from Network Ten, where he has been chief brand officer for the past four years, and brings to the firm a 25-year career in advertising, digital media and communications, which included working as CEO and executive chairman in the global advertising network of Y&R brands.
Deloitte CEO Cindy Hook said: “We are delighted to have Matt join our team and look forward to him bringing his extensive leadership and experience to enhancing Deloitte’s brand, creative and marketing strategies.
“Deloitte is delivering more than ever for its clients and Matt’s expertise will help to continue to drive that momentum in the Australian market place.”
Commenting on his new role, McGrath said: “Deloitte is a much-respected global brand, and the calibre of talent, capabilities and thinking they have make this an incredible opportunity for me.
“They are making a huge impact on so many companies in Australia and around the globe. My role will be to leverage the Deloitte brand to help grow our business and grow our client’s brands in this incredible period of disruptive innovation.
“One of the things that convinced me to join Deloitte is their capability in digital. It is far beyond anything I have seen in a marketing services agency or advertising group in terms of IP and true capability to change businesses.”
McGrath’s appointment will also see him become a partner of the consulting firm.
