Netflix’s Addams Family reboot Wednesday has proven a global smash for the streaming service and is on track to become its “most watched English-language series of all time”.
The series has catapulted 20-year-old actress Jenna Ortega (who plays Wednesday Addams) to global superstardom. Ortega delivering flawless deadpan wit, a seemingly joyless personality, while never once blinking!
Wednesday boasts a host of stars including Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams and a cameo by the original Wednesday, Christina Ricci.
And now, for fans of the show, Netflix has dropped a blooper reel of the Tim Burton-directed series that shows Ortega and her fellow actors are capable of a laugh when things go awry while the camera’s still rolling.
Check out the blunder reel below.
However, the release of the outtakes hasn’t gone down well with everyone.
People posting to social media said that they wanted a “10-minute cut” and “give us [the season two] announcement”.
Others accused Netflix of overly promoting Wednesday at the expense of better shows on the streaming service (namely fantasy show Warrior Nun.)
One viewer tweeted: “You promote Wednesday like your life depends on it and have shows like Warrior Nun you barely lift a finger for. We’d love bloopers of that too. Better yet, we’d love the renewal more.”
While others asked for for Bridgeton, The Sandman, and 1899 to get their own blooper reel release.
