Monday TV Wrap: The Block Hammers Entertainment, As Nine Nails The Night

I simply cannot start the TV Wrap without mentioning Grimshaw is hanging up her blazer and leaving A Current Affair! I am heartbroken and in denial.

But now I’ve had my breakdown! Let’s break it down. Shall we?

In the news, news, Seven News grabbed 955,000 eyeballs, and Nine News earned 880,000 viewers.

Nine’s A Current Affair scored 627,000 viewers – Grimshaw leaving A Current Affair has sent me into a complete tizz! While she slept like a baby last night, I was tossing and turning!

As per OzTAM’s metro numbers, Seven’s The Chase brought in 507,000 viewers.

Meanwhile Farmer Wants A Wife pulled in 489,000 viewers – can I just say if Sam in an Akubra can’t get this show cracking a million! Nothing can! Except maybe Grimshaw in an Akubra! She’s leaving a Current Affair. Instead of chasing down tradies, she could be love-matching!

For Nine, The Block pulled in 740,000 viewers – I want more crime scandals, less Bunnings trips, but that is me being fussy!   Hot Seat grabbed 356,000 viewers.

For 10, Have You Been Paying Attention pulled in 547,000 viewers – this show always kills it! The Amazing Race brought in 386,000 viewers and we need more drama! Can someone have an affair? please.

Finally, ABC had a strong news night ABC News, netting 668,000 viewers and 7.30 earned 525,000 viewers.

Meanwhile, Media Watch pulled in 542.000 viewers. Four Corners managed 605,000 viewers – Qantas got racked over the coals.  Australian Story managed 538,000 viewers – Lyn Dawnson’s mystery disappearance continues to always pull eyeballs.

Out on top was the Nine Network with 27.7 per cent. Seven Network was just behind with 26.4 per cent of the daily share.

Followed by ABC Network with 19.5 per cent of the share, then the 10 Network with 18.0 per cent. while SBS had 8.5 per cent
