Monday TV Wrap: Nine Sneaks Past Seven On The Back Of The Block

Nine won Monday night’s bragging rights and, yet again, it was on the back of the strength of The Block that went over the million-mark.

When it came to audience share, Nine managed 28.5 per cent, Seven had to settle for 26.5 per cent, Ten took 20 per cent, the ABC had 17.9 per cent and SBS pulled 7.1 per cent.

Seven had the most watched show of Monday, its 6pm news enjoying 1.0489 million viewers. Seven’s other standouts included: Home And Away (670,000), Emergency Call (579,000), The Chase (574,000) and Wanted (455,000).

Over at Ten, Have You Been Paying Attention? was its best with 769,000. The Project had 564,000, while Blind Date isn’t getting much viewer love, it could only muster 487,000.

Nine’s night ran thus: The Block (1.003 million), 6pm news (965,000), ACA (815,000), Hot Seat (472,000) and Serial Killer With Piers Morgan (388,000).

The ABC’s Monday night of current affairs went this way: 7pm news (705,000), 7.30 (672,000), Australian Story (666,000), Four Corners (414,000), Media Watch (384,000) and Q&A (329,000).

SBS’s best was Britain’s Most Historic Towns that did 257,000.
