Last night’s MasterChef was but one part of a two part finale, scoring 799,000 viewers as per OzTAM’s metro data.
You could tell it was a special episode, because Jock Zonfrillo was wearing a kilt, which is always an indicator of a good time.
It’s been a real month for prime time finales, so let’s do a little comparison.
MasterChef has so far beaten Big Brother, which peaked at 726,000 for the winner’s announcement (the rest of the ep scored 672,000). Australian Ninja Warrior, though, had 918,000 for the winner’s announcement and 815,000 for the rest of the ep.
All eyes will be on tomorrow’s ratings to see if the Grand Finale will take the cake from ANW .
Given it’s MasterChef, we can hope there will be a literal cake as well as a metaphorical one.
