Monday TV Wrap: Farmer Wants A Wife Finale Enjoys An Extended Honeymoon

Last night’s finale of Farmer Wants A Wife gave the series its best numbers all year, with 923,000 viewers tuning in according to OzTAM metro numbers.

It also enabled Seven to have a little dance over its competitors, with Nine’s The Block managing just 738,000 last night. 10’s The Masked Singer pulled 692,000, but rose to 786,000 for the reveal.

All this handed Seven a Monday night win. It pulled 28.1 per cent of all of last night’s eyeballs (all channels). Nine fought valiantly to 26.2 per cent, 10 posted 21.2 per cent, the ABC did 15.9 per cent and SBS managed just 8.6 per cent.

All this also knocked 10’s Have You Been Paying Attention? about. It did an okayish 704,000 by its usual high standards.

In the battle of the 6pm news bulletins, Seven posted 1.189 million and Nine did 1.106 million. ACA had 738,000.

Seven’s Home And Away had 673,000 and The Chase did 639,000.

Nine’s Hot Seat did 457,000.

Other standouts for 10 included The Project with 580,000 and 10 News First with 433,000.

The ABC’s evening ran thus: 7pm news (816,000), 7.30 (692,000), Australian Story (469,000) and Media Watch (437,000).
