Monday TV Wrap: Beatles In Australia Doco Proves ‘A Ticket To Ride’ For Nine

As the networks will tell you, other than the “grocery buying mum”, they love to chase the apparently big-spending under-35 demographic.

But it appears the Boomers are still tuning-in too, after Nine’s documentary into The Beatles 1964 tour of Australia pulled a pretty good 451,000 last night according to OzTAM metro numbers.

One Night Only – The Beatles In Oz was the 18th most-watched show of the night and helped Nine to a comfortable evening win.

10’s Monday night duo of MasterChef (1.047 million) and have You Been Paying Attention? (853,000) continues to do the business for the network.

Things were less rosy for The Voice which did 745,000 and also had Big Brother (723,000) breathing down its neck.

In the battle of the 6pm news bulletins, Seven did an impressive 1.264 million and Nine boasted 1.113 million. ACA had 842,000.
