Reports: Microsoft Set To Review Its $1.3 Billion Media Account

Microsoft is set to review its $US1 billion ($A1.3 billion) media account it has been reported. US industry site Adage has said that it will be a closed review.

Presently, Interpublic Group is the tech behemoth’s agency of record for advertising and global deployment and Dentsu Aegis Network handles search advertising and media buying and planning. IPG’s McCann is responsible for its creative.

A Microsoft spokesperson said of the review that it was all “part of our normal course of business, Microsoft is conducting a closed review of its media account”.

It’s understood that Microsoft spent $US1.5 billion on all its advertising in 2016.
