Meta has added more tools to help Instagram users in Australia show off the NFTs they bought.
Creators and collectors of NFTs will now be able to connect their digital wallet to Instagram and post digital collectibles which they have either created or bought.
The company has also expanded the type of digital collectible that users can showcase. Video or animated NFTs can now be displayed on Instagram and a new OpeanSea integration allows digital collectible asset information on the platform to be displayed on Instagram.
Support for Solana (blockchain) and Phantom (wallet) for digital collectible display has also been added to Instagram. Information for select collections with enriched metadata on OpenSea, such as collection name and descriptions, will now be available on Instagram. The blockchains supported for showcasing are Ethereum, Polygon, Flow, and Solana. The third-party wallets compatible for use include Rainbow, MetaMask and Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, Dapper, and Phantom.
To help seal the deal, Instagram gifted creators who attended the company’s inaugural Creator Week in Bali, which sounds like an extremely tough gig, a limited edition NFT as a memento of their experience.
