McCann Melbourne Snares Aaron Lipson As Associate Creative Director

Creative agency McCann has appointed Aaron Lipson to the role of associate creative director for its Melbourne office.

Lipson joins McCann from Cummins&Partners Melbourne, where has worked as a senior art director for more than six years. Lipson is also a regular tutor and lecturer at AWARD School and ADMA Creative School.

His work has been recognised at a number of award shows including the inaugural Clio Awards, Cannes Lions, the Effies, NY Festivals, LIA, Young Guns, Spikes, AWARD, and the Siren Awards.

Newly appointed managing director of McCann Melbourne, Georgie Pownall, said: “I’m chuffed that Az and I get to work together again, and that he’s come on board for this journey.”

McCann Melbourne creative director Andrew Woodhead added: “We’re all excited to have Aaron on board. His work speaks for itself. He is an extremely welcome and valuable addition to our creative department.”

Commenting on his appointment, Lipson said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the ranks of McCann Melbourne. I have long admired the work they have consistently done. It’s great to be on board and working with a fantastic group of people and clients.”

Lipson is one of the several new staffing additions that McCann Australia CEO Nicole Taylor hinted at in a recent interview with B&T, saying the agency has been on a “re-strengthening exercise” in Melbourne ever since Deloitte went on a poaching spree.
